RVIA’s TNT Program Continues to Expand

RVIA is rapidly progressing with plans to roll out the Technicians in Training (TNT) program nationally by the end of the 2016 fiscal year which would be a full year sooner than originally planned.

The TNT program brings technician training directly to local areas or RV dealerships. It is designed to increase the awareness of and participation in industry technician training and certification programs by having field representatives visit RV dealerships to educate management and technicians about educational opportunities, determine training needs, and schedule training sessions.

RVIA decided to implement the TNT program nationally after very successful regional pilot programs in states across the Pacific Northwest, South Central and Upper Midwest in 2014 and 2015.

“The TNT program has provided a huge boost to the industry’s training initiatives and has been embraced by manufacturers, suppliers and dealers,” said Sharonne Lee, RVIA’s director of education. “Based on the success and popularity of the effort, we’ve accelerated our work to have the program operational nationwide by next October.”

Work is now underway to open a new TNT region on the Eastern seaboard that will stretch from Maine to Florida and include New Hampshire, Vermont, New York, Massachusetts, Rhode Island, Connecticut, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Delaware, Maryland, West Virginia, Virginia, North Caroline, South Carolina, Georgia and Florida. A new TNT field representative will be hired to manage this territory.

In addition, the next fiscal year will also see new states added to the area serviced by RVIA’s Kevin Youngquist.  Indiana, Michigan, Ohio, Kentucky, Tennessee, Alabama, Mississippi, Wyoming, Montana and North Dakota will join Minnesota, Wisconsin, Illinois, Iowa, South Dakota and Nebraska, where the TNT program is already underway.

Arizona and Colorado will also be added to the region that includes Texas, New Mexico, Oklahoma, Kansas, Missouri, Louisiana and Arkansas. This territory is managed by RVIA’s Connie Accord.

RVIA’s Wade Greenwood works the western part of the country where the TNT program is active in California, Oregon, Washington, Idaho, Nevada, and Utah.
