RVIA’s National RV Trade Show Sees Surge in Pre-Registration

Reston, VA (Sept. 26, 2016) -- On the heels of another successful RV Open House in Elkhart, IN last week, the attention of the RV industry now turns to the next big trade event --  RVIA’s National RV Trade Show, taking place Nov. 28 – Dec. 1, 2016 in Louisville, KY.

With just a little over two months to the kickoff off the show, RVIA reports that show space is sold out and dealer pre-registration is pacing more than 100% ahead of last year.

National RV Trade Show attendees will enjoy a totally revamped and new event backed by expanded educational sessions, increased attendee marketing and new value-added programs designed to ensure dealers experience a top-notch program.

Of particular note this year is newly added education day on Monday, Nov. 28, featuring concurrent sessions specialized for dealers, campground operators, manufacturers and suppliers. The day will be capped by a keynote session with brand visionary and marketing guru Ken Schmidt, former director of communications strategy for Harley-Davidson Motor Company.

“We have been busy behind the scenes working with manufacturers, dealers and other industry experts to deliver a ‘new’ vision to the show,” said RVIA’s Senior Vice President for Events Liz Crawford. “Through our post show research last year we learned that the show’s real value is in providing an industry event where everyone is under one roof, at one time per year. Our goal for this show, and for future shows, is to ‘own the customer experience’.”

According to the research, nearly half of the attendees have not been to any other show in the past year. That, along with the fact that close to 80% of attendees are highly likely to attend the show this year is a strong indication of the show’s reach and importance to the RV market.

Other research highlights show that 73% of those attendees planned to buy or recommend products/services they saw at last year’s show.  This bodes well for the 2016 event as buyers are anticipating spending more dollars as a result from the show.   Over 90% of the show’s attendees have a buying influence for the types of products exhibited at the show.

“Dealers are obviously excited about the newly crafted event,” said RVIA Show Director Scott Graham. “They are clamoring for new and improved, and the show is a great place for manufacturers and suppliers to unveil new products and services, whether those are tweaks from RV Open House or totally new market offerings. The strong registration numbers, the great feedback from dealers on the educational lineup, and the excitement of manufacturers looking to continue the momentum generated at RV Open House all point to a very strong National RV Trade Show.”
