Hosts of American Pickers to Speak at Outlook 2010: Let The Sun Shine

Renowned antiquers Mike Wolfe and Frank Fritz, hosts of History’s new show, “American Pickers,” will speak to attendees about their travels through America’s heartland at "Outlook 2010: Let the Sun Shine," the kickoff event to RVIA’s 47th Annual National RV Trade Show in Louisville, Ky. on Tuesday morning, Dec. 1.

 

From the Appalachians to the Ozarks, from the South to the Midwest, Wolfe and Fritz (pictured, above) have made their careers traveling off the beaten path on a hunt for American treasures stashed in attics and garages. Antiquing is a very popular activity among the nation's RVers, and tales of the duo's cross-country adventures are sure to entertain Outlook attendees.

 

Wolfe and Fritz are part of an "Outlook: 2010" lineup of engaging speakers and substantive presentations that will communicate a strong message of optimism as the industry moves toward a recovery in the coming year. The event begins at 6:45 a.m. with a complimentary sit-down breakfast in the Kentucky Exposition Center’s (KEC) South Wing Mezzanine Ballroom. As always, attendees are urged to arrive early as lines form well before the doors open.

 

One of the most anticipated annual industry events with more than 1,000 RV dealers and show exhibitors expected to be on hand, "Outlook 2010" will be hosted by RVIA Chairman of the Board Jim Sheldon, and feature “Radiant, Relevant, and Ready, RVIA President Richard Coon’s thoughts on how RVIA has helped the industry weather the storm and prepare for a new beginning.

 

In Go RVing: "Spreading Sunshine in '09 and Beyond,Go RVing Coalition Co-Chairmen Dicky Riegel and Tom Stinnett will be joined by RVIA Vice President and Chief Marketing Officer Gary LaBella to discuss how the Go RVing campaign stoked consumer demand in 2009.  The trio will also unveil new television spots and innovative website content scheduled for launch early next year.
 

Following the Go RVing presentation, RVIA Public Relations Committee Chairman B.J. Thompson will team with LaBella to demonstrate how RVIA PR protected the image of the RV industry despite the year’s gloomy news environment in RVIA Public Relations: "Keeping Our Image Bright.”
    

The "Outlook 2010: Let the Sun Shine" program and breakfast are free for attendees on a first-come, first-serve basis.  All National RV Trade Show attendees are welcome, and no reservations are necessary. Designed to convey valuable and relevant information as the show begins, "Outlook 2010" is the ideal way for manufacturers, dealers and their entire teams to start the day on Dec. 1. Show attendees are urged to save the 6:45 to 9:00 a.m. time slot and avoid scheduling conflicting events to enable industry representatives at all levels to attend. Show badge registration will be available in the South Wing Lobby C Entrance prior to the event.
