Go RVing Classic PBA Tournament Draws Strong Viewership

Nearly one million viewers tuned in to ESPN on Sunday, March 9, to watch rookie Rhino Page win the second annual Go RVing Classic to take home his first PBA championship.

Gary LaBella congratulates Tournament WinnerGo RVing was also a big winner with ample exposure being generated for the industry, including three Go RVing commercials that aired during the telecast; Go RVing lane signage; and Go RVing logos above the pins, in all visible TV pin sweeps, and on ESPN graphics.

A special news package featuring Go RVing and RVIA spokesman Walter Ray Williams, Jr., the sport’s all-time money and title winner, also aired during tournament coverage. The spot featured Williams inside the motorhome he uses to travel to tournaments with his wife and baby.

“This was another great event for Go RVing and the RV industry, joining the Super Bowl and the Daytona 500 in kicking off an advertising campaign that will generate two billion consumer impressions this year," said Gary LaBella, RVIA vice president and chief marketing officer.

Encore presentations of the Go RVing Classic Finals will air on ESPN Classic on Sunday, March 16, at 12:00 p.m. Eastern and Sunday, March 23, at 11:30 a.m. Eastern.

This is the second consecutive year that Go RVing has been a sponsor of the PBA Tour with ads airing on ESPN networks as well as on www.pba.com from January through March. Go RVing ads and signage are also featured prominently on-site at all Tour events during the same time period.

In addition, Go RVing is also the season-long official sponsor of a three-man team of bowlers wearing Go RVing logos on their shirts and rolling bowling balls emblazoned with the Go RVing logo. “Team Go RVing” includes bowlers Riga Kalfas and Todd Book, who each travel by RV, and Joe Ciccone.
