Go RVing Spring Media Plan is Ready to Bloom

After a successful showing on the Daytona 500, Go RVing is also continuing its strong NASCAR presence by advertising on ESPN during Nextel and Nationwide (formerly Busch) series races and on the SPEED Channel, which is also airing special RV “on the road“ vignettes featuring NASCAR driver Kenny Wallace on race days.

Go RVing will have a high profile on Triple Crown Horse Racing programming on ESPN as well. Ads, plus a special "What Will You Discover" feature about area attractions, will appear during races and programming leading up to the Triple Crown events, beginning with ESPN SportsCenter coverage of the Kentucky Derby Draw on April 30. The Go RVing Triple Crown ad buy includes the Kentucky Oaks and Black Eyed Susan races as well as race day coverage during all three Triple Crown events.

“This is a critical time to reach consumers with our messages, and to stimulate demand in a tough year, we have locked in strong ad buys during many popular sporting events this Spring,” said Gary LaBella, RVIA vice president and chief marketing officer. "The advantage of advertising on live sports programming is that it is a little more 'TiVo-proof.' People watch as it happens instead of recording the event, which is better for advertisers."

Go RVing TV spots will also appear during major entertainment programming through October on a total of 33 major national cable networks, including the National Geographic Channel, Discovery, TV Guide Channel, Lifetime, Nickelodeon, Weather Channel, A & E, Animal Planet, Golf Channel, Hallmark Channel, TV Land and Sci-Fi.
