The quick-moving session featured:

*  “The National RV Trade Show (Louisville)” – This discussion with James Ashurst, RVIA’s vice president of communications and marketing, and Scott Graham, national show director, examined new show features that are under consideration for the National RV Trade Show, analysis of the show’s location, and the reorganization of show staff.

*  “RV Service Technician Training Pilot Program” – RVIA Director of Education Sharonne Lee and Airxcel President Mel Adams updated attendees on the new pilot program that is putting “boots on the ground” to bring training directly to RV dealerships and RV technicians by touching on the successes and hurdles encountered so far and previewing the direction of the program.

*  “Trends in Extended-Stay Camping” – RVIA President Richard Coon and KOA CEO Jim Rogers briefed attendees on extended-stay and destination camping trends and identified opportunities to capitalize on through the coordinated initiatives of private and public campgrounds.

*  “Vehicle Titles for Park Model RVs, RV-Specific Franchise Laws and GSP” – RVIA Vice President of Government Affairs Diane Farrell reported on these critical legislative and regulatory issues affecting the RV industry, specifically relating to the effort to make how park model RVs are titled uniform throughout the nation; the initiative to have more states adopt RV-specific franchise legislation; and the importance of having the Generalized System of Preference (GSP) trade agreement renewed.
