More Go RVing Ads Get Early Spring Start [View]
An improvement in Go RVing's new unit assessments in March is allowing the industry campaign to start earlier with the direct response cable TV and Internet advertising in its limited 2009 budget. Instead of June, Go RVing direct response cable advertising will now begin in mid-April, providing a boost to kick off the spring RV selling season just as consumers slightly relax their grip on their wallets in response to deep discounting and lower energy prices.

RVIA Gears Up for Committee Week 2009 [View]
RVIA members will meet to plan the association’s agenda for the next fiscal year and beyond at Committee Week, set for June 8-11 at the Willard InterContinental Hotel in Washington, D.C. During the four-day event, the association’s standing committees, Executive Committee and Board of Directors will meet to develop strategies and programs for the upcoming fiscal year.

RVers Planning to Travel and Buy Despite Recession [View]
Consumer confidence may be down, but RVer confidence remains high according to the biannual Campfire Canvass survey of RV owners, conducted by the Recreation Vehicle Industry Association (RVIA). Fifty-five percent of survey respondents intend to use their RVs more this spring/summer than last year, and 45 percent are considering another purchase.

RVIA Works With Congress, SBA to Free Up Credit For RV Dealers [View]
RVIA continues to work on all fronts in an effort to free up credit for RV dealers and consumers and help the industry recover from the current severe economic crisis. Currently one focus of the association’s efforts is expanding the Small Business Administration’s (SBA) 7(a) lending program to benefit the RV industry.

Go RVing’s Facebook Fan Page Soars in Popularity [View]
Go RVing's Facebook fan page has seen an enormous spike in registered “fans” over the past week. While the number of fans has grown steadily since the page launched in May 2008, it jumped roughly 200 percent this week - from 985 to just under 3,000 - after the industry coalition sent an email invitation to Go RVing’s 220,000 e-newsletter subscribers.
