RVIA’s Coon Addresses Industry Challenges at “Forecast 2009” [View]
RVIA President Richard Coon addressed Committee Week attendees Tuesday, June 10 at the second annual “Forecast 2009” luncheon. Coon endorsed the industry forecast given by Dr. Richard Curtin, saying that RVIA “agrees with Dr. Curtin” and delivered supporting remarks emphasizing the industry’s strength and resilience.

Sixth Annual Advocacy Day a Success [View]
RVIA’s Advocacy Day was a huge success this year, with the largest member turnout in the history of the event. Thirty-two RVIA members participated in the June 11 event in Washington, D.C. - ten more than last year’s event. This year fifty meetings with Members of Congress or Congressional staff were scheduled, and a record 17 of those meetings were with the Senators or Representatives themselves.

RV Shipments to Stabilize in 2009 [View]
Washington, D.C., June 10, 2008 — The recreation vehicle (RV) industry’s shipments will total approximately 303,100 units in 2009 — nearly identical to the projected total for 2008 — according to a new forecast announced at “Forecast 2009,” a June 10 event sponsored by Recreation Vehicle Industry Association (RVIA).
