RVIA's strategic plan charges the Association with ensuring a favorable business environment by promoting and protecting members' interests in state and federal legislation/regulation.

RVIA represents its members' interests at the federal level in areas including recreation issues, national parks, safety, highways, energy, taxes and environmental regulations.

At the state level RVIA represents its members' interests in areas including franchise issues, lemon laws, licensing requirements, vehicle dimensions, standards requirements, taxes and environmental regulation.
