Standards and Education
Standards
The RVIA Standards Department serves as administrator of the RVIA inspection program based on the adopted standards for construction of recreational & conversion vehicles. The Standards Department has maintained as its primary goal the enhancement of safety through the monitoring of the member manufacturer's pledge to build units to these adopted standards. In addition, in an effort to promote and protect the RV industry and its members the Standards Department is committed to providing educational opportunities and training tools for the member manufacturers to utilized in order to meet the Association goals.
As identified to the left are numerous bullets that provide additional information on technical bulletins, adopted standards, code and handbook enforcement making process, training documents and related educational seminars.
Education
The RVIA Education Department believes in and supports RVIA Association efforts to foster a positive learning community that encourages active involvement of members and staff to cultivate educational alliances to benefit our industry. The Education Department has maintained as its primary focus the development of technical information for dissemination to industry stakeholders and the development of learning communities that support life long learning . In addition to fostering educational practice, the department continues to work to promote and encourage quality and safety in the manufacture, distribution, and use of member products within RVIA association divisions.
