Summary: Wholesale shipments to retailers of all recreational vehicles in December totaled 32,970 units shipped, and pushed the industry to a 40-year high in shipments in 2016, according to the Recreation Vehicle Industry Association. The December total represents a 17.6 percent increase over December 2015’s tally of 28,025 units and was the best December on record for the industry. For the year as a whole, all RV shipments climbed to 430,691 units, a gain of 15.1 percent above 2015 and the best yearly total in more than 40 years.
