He believes anything is possible and that passion drives performance. This is the premise of his acclaimed books; Fun Is Good and Another Boring, Derivative, Piece of Crap Business Book. Through stories of his successes and failures, Mike demonstrates that every good idea starts with innovative, creative and many times totally outrageous suggestions. Who else would train a pig to deliver baseballs to the umpire, hire mimes to perform instant replays or lock fans out of the stadium to set an all-time attendance record for fewest people at a game?

- As an IT Project Manager at Procter & Gamble, Drew led multi-million dollar projects for a $350 million brand. On his first day, Drew’s manager told him: It's better to beg forgiveness than ask for permission and he decided to test it. Drew didn't give away company secrets or steal pens from the supply closet (okay, one); rather he added jokes to the ends of his emails, volunteered to MC meetings he wasn't invited to, and taught improv to his team. He even declared himself the Corporate Humorist, complete with business cards, a blog, and nameplate for his cubicle wall. Drew made a discovery: Using humor at work helped him be more effective with the hardest thing he had to manage, fellow human beings. Drew Tarvin is now the CEO of Humor That Works, a leadership development company that teaches professionals how to use humor to achieve better business results. He has partnered with top organizations--including IBM, the UN, and the FBI--to solve human challenges with humor solutions. His TEDx talk on the skill of humor has been viewed more than ten million times, only half of which were by his mother.
- 1:45pm - 5:00pm: Leadership Workshop led by Matt Dunsmoor - Founder and Chief Vision Office of octopy and Igniter at Simon Sinek, Inc.
- Matt Dunsmoor is obsessed with exploring the future of work and what’s possible when organizations sit on the foundation of a strong, values-based culture. He imagines a world in which workplaces are intent on creating powerful, supportive cultures so that people can focus on living a balanced life. He lives for “A-ha!” moments and loves celebrating the growth of others. Matt’s passion really took flight in 2015 when he attended one of Simon’s WHY Discovery Workshops. After experiencing the process and seeing the impact it had on him and his colleagues, he advocated adopting Simon’s methods into their company culture, eventually becoming a workshop facilitator and trainer himself. In the years since, Matt has traveled the world, sharing Simon’s concepts and his own insights to help teams and leaders clarify their WHY. He aims to equip his clients with the tools to develop their leaders and company cultures into those reflective of this newfound clarity.
