RV Shipments Hit Nine-Year September High

RVIA reports that RV wholesale shipments reached their highest September total in nine years with 27,960 units reported shipped in the association’s monthly survey of manufacturers.  That total is 2.3% greater than August shipments and 12.4% higher than shipments in September 2014.

Through the third quarter of the year, RV shipments have now climbed to 285,049 units, ahead of the same period last year by five percent. Towable RVs have increased by five percent from 237,320 in 2014 to 249,136 this year.  Motorhome shipments have grown to 35,913 units from 34,032 units, a 5.5% rise.

Seasonally adjusted, RV shipments in September were at an annualized rate of more than 405,000 units.
