National RV Trade Show Doubles Down on Education and Training

With two times more education and training than ever before, and a bevy of show exhibitor contract improvements, RVIA’s National RV Trade Show will bring an appealing mix of new plus tried and true to an expected crowd of more than 7,500, with nearly 60 manufacturers already signed up, as well as more than 200 suppliers.

To be held Dec. 1-3 at the Kentucky Exposition Center (KEC) in Louisville, the National RV Trade Show is once again the first stop on the road to success, the only place that will offer everything needed to prepare for the upcoming buying season. All of the newest products and RV models will be found on a show floor that will feature more networking, including more extensive happy hours.

The National RV Trade Show has always been a place for both formal and informal training and learning. This year’s show, with the theme “More to See,” will feature an expansion of the TnT Program, with 32 technician workshops available to attendees.

Tech Academy 2015 will kick off on the show’s opening day, Tuesday, Dec. 1, with a dozen product overview sessions that afternoon. Leading suppliers in the RV industry will conduct these sessions featuring new and/or popular products. Features, benefits, and general information will be shared, and attendance will count toward recertification. Of special note will be a session geared toward managers on best hiring practices and retaining good techs.

On Wednesday, Dec. 2 and Thursday, Dec. 3, the training sessions will intensify, with hands-on learning and a limit of 15 participants per 4-hour training period, which will begin at 9:30 or 10 a.m. and continue through mid-afternoon with a free-of-charge lunch included.  Participation in these sessions will also count toward recertification, with attendees given a transferable voucher to be used for certification testing fees.

Feedback from last year’s National RV Trade Show has led to several floor exhibitor contract enhancements, including the allowance of alcohol on the show floor, an OK to display concept RVs with signage, and approval for events to take place after hours. Attendees should be sure to look up on the show floor as space can now be rented on the aisle arches.  Also be sure to look around; suppliers can help demonstrate products in manufacturers’ booths if they have a supplier booth.

This year’s National RV Trade Show event will also feature new exhibitor marketing and sponsorship opportunities intended to increase product recognition and booth traffic. These opportunities include:

•   Banners, Badges, and Lanyards;

•   Events and/or additional seating in the Buyers Lounge;

•   Onsite Program; and

•   Video Ads on Scoreboard.

Consistent with the state of the industry itself, a host of new technology will be deployed at the show, including new registration technology, with online and onsite quick scan, as well as a National RV Trade Show Mobile App featuring all the latest and greatest show information. The overall goal is to provide Consolidated Exhibitor Marketing Communication, in order to help buyers navigate the show better than ever before.
