RVIA Board Meeting Caps Committee Week

The RVIA Board of Directors named a new member during their Committee Week meeting held on June 9 in Washington, DC.

Scott Thompson of Carefree of Colorado will fulfill the term of the company seat being vacated by Mike Farmer, the organization’s vice president of sales and marketing, who recently retired. Thompson has served as president of Carefree of Colorado since 2013 and joined the company in 1998. He is a native of Iowa and graduated from the University of Northern Iowa with a bachelor’s in industrial technology.

During the meeting, the Board:

During Committee Week, more than 240 industry members and association staff participated in more than a dozen committee and coalition meetings, networking events and Capitol Hill Advocacy Day, up from 210 attendees last year.

RVIA Chairman of the Board Derald Bontrager called the week a tremendous success. “It was a great week in terms of participation and engagement. The energy and passion of the members was fantastic,” he said. “Committee Week is vitally important. It is where we call come together to collectively plan for our future growth and success.”
