Top Speakers Headline “Outlook 2009: We’ve Got Heart!” at 46th Annual National RV Trade Show

A Washington Times political columnist and a team of Hispanic market strategists top the list of speakers at "Outlook 2009: We’ve Got Heart!”

The breakfast event will kick off RVIA’s 46th Annual National RV Trade Show on Tuesday morning, December 2, with substantive presentations and guest speakers outlining the challenges facing the RV industry and how RVIA and Go RVing are addressing those challenges. It will begin at 6:30 a.m. with a complimentary sit-down breakfast in the Kentucky Exposition Center’s (KEC) South Wing C Mezzanine Ballroom. As always, attendees should come early as lines form well before the doors open at 6:20 a.m.

Entertainment will be provided by legenday Doo-Wop and R&B pioneers The Drifters, who have been bringing audiences to their feet for decades.

Hosted by RVIA Chairman of the Board Jim Sheldon, Outlook 2009 will also feature “Straight From the Heart,” RVIA President Richard Coon’s insights on the industry and where it is headed.

Following Coon, Washington Times Deputy Editorial Page Editor Tara Wall, whose political commentary was prominently featured on CNN during its extensive November 4th election coverage, will speak to RVIA members about what the Obama presidency means to the RV industry. An award-winning journalist, Wall also writes a weekly conservative column for the Washington Times.

In a presentation titled “Heartening Words From Go RVing,” Go RVing Coalition Co-Chairmen Don Walter of Starcraft RV and Tom Stinnett of Tom Stinnett RV Freedom Center will be joined by RVIA Chief Marketing Officer Gary LaBella to examine how the national advertising campaign is positioning the industry to grow as the economy improves.

RVIA Public Relations Committee Chairman B.J. Thompson will then join LaBella to highlight the year’s publicity successes and strategies for continued growth in “A Heart-to-Heart Talk with RVIA Public Relations.” The presentation will also include an entertaining review of national media coverage, concluding with RVTV, a highlight reel of the best broadcast RV news and entertainment hits from 2008.

A featured part of the PR presentation will be Colombian-American couple Gary and Valerie Berman (pictured above), who have spent 20 years studying the Hispanic market in the United States, speaking to industry members about Hispanics’ leisure preferences and outlining the best ways to market to this growing demographic. The Bermans will also explain their “'Abrazo' Method to Embracing the Hispanic Market," which outlines the “cultural hot buttons” marketers need to know to attract customers with this heritage.

The program and breakfast are free for attendees on a first-come, first-served basis.  All Louisville show attendees are welcome, and no reservations are necessary. Show badge registration will be available in the South Wing Lobby C Entrance.
