Go RVing's Fourth of July Reddit Takeover Puts RV Travel at the Center of One of America's Biggest Travel Weekends
As part of Go RVing's ongoing strategy to reach consumers where they're actively planning and discussing travel, the program executed a Travel Category Takeover on Reddit during the Fourth of July holiday weekend. The activation allowed Go RVing to become the first travel brand users encountered across Reddit's Travel community during one of the year's highest-volume travel periods.
By placing RVing at the forefront of millions of travel conversations, the campaign reinforced RV travel as a compelling option for summer adventures while driving consumers to GoRVing.com to learn more about the lifestyle.
Campaign highlights:
- RVing dominated the travel conversation. The Fourth of July Travel Category Takeover delivered more than 7.8 million impressions, giving Go RVing exclusive, first-in-view visibility across Reddit's Travel category during one of the busiest travel weekends of the year.
- Consumer engagement exceeded expectations. The campaign delivered 200k completed in-feed video views and drove approximately 24,500 visits to GoRVing.com, with click-through rates finishing 29% above Reddit's Travel Category Takeover benchmarks, demonstrating strong consumer interest in RV travel inspiration.
- Performance continues to improve. Compared with Go RVing's Memorial Day activation, the campaign generated 12% more impressions, 5% more clicks than this year's Memorial Day takeover, and 22% more clicks than the Memorial Day campaign from 2025, showing growing momentum for Go RVing's Reddit strategy.
- Consumers are discovering RVing on mobile. Nearly 73% of campaign delivery occurred within Reddit's mobile experience, reinforcing that reaching consumers in mobile-first environments is critical for inspiring new audiences to discover RVing.
- Category marketing continues to benefit the entire industry. By placing RV travel in front of millions of highly engaged travelers during a peak vacation period, Go RVing continues to drive meaningful visibility for the industry and keep RVing top-of-mind as consumers considered their summer travel plans, supporting Go RVing's long-term mission of growing awareness and demand for the entire category.
