RV Technical Institute Conducts Dealer On-Site Training With North Carolina Dealership
Earlier this month, the RV Technical Institute led a weeklong dealer on-site training session with Rex & Sons RV, a North Carolina dealership in Castle Hayne, NC. The training took place from Monday, March 2, through Friday, March 6.
Operations Manager & Co-Owner Travis Creech shared that six technicians were enrolled in the training. All passed and became Level 1 RVTI certified.
During Dealer On-Site Training, the Institute sends one of its instructors to a qualifying dealership location that has expressed interest (rather than the dealership sending its technicians to the Institute’s facility). Dealer On-Site Training is available for dealerships that are registered with the Institute as a Location Subscriber or Authorized Learning Partner+.
“RVTI’s Level 1 Dealer On-Site Training has been an excellent resource for our Service Department,” says Travis Creech, Rex & Sons RV’s Operations Manager & Co-Owner. “We are already seeing the positive impact the training has had on our technicians’ expertise. Elevating our team’s technical skills is key to fostering our dealership’s ongoing success and ensuring our customers spend more time enjoying the open road.”
“Proper training is critical to the long-term health of the RV industry. When technicians are well trained, repairs are done correctly the first time, which helps keep RVers on the road and enjoying the camping lifestyle,” says Justin Rickett, the RV Technical Institute’s Director of Industry Relations. “We were excited to bring our on-site dealer training program to Rex & Sons RV and work directly with their team to provide hands-on instruction. Programs like this allow us to meet technicians where they are, at their dealerships, making it easier for them to gain the skills they need with less time away from the shop for travel. We’re proud to offer this type of training to dealerships across the country as we continue working together to strengthen service capabilities and support the overall success of the RV industry."
