Last week, the RV Technical Institute, alongside Mike Thompson’s RV Super Store, actively participated in the 2025 American School Counselor Conference in Long Beach, CA. Over 3500 individuals attended the conference.

The RV Technical Institute attends this annual event to directly engage with trusted career advisors—school counselors and administrators—and share information about the certified RV technician career path. The Institute’s primary goal in attending is to recruit the future RV technician workforce.

By presenting this valuable career option to school counselors, the RV Technical Institute ensures the information reaches high school students who show an interest in skilled trades. Furthermore, the Institute aims to connect with educational decision-makers who might integrate the Institute's curriculum into their high school programs. Students attending schools that adopt this curriculum could even earn their Level 1 certification before graduating, providing a significant head start in a thriving industry.

"We had an impactful week educating school administrators, counselors, and other staff on the RV technician career path," says Halle Howard, the RV Technical Institute’s Account Specialist. "We hope that they will take this information and share it with interested high school students. Many of them may not be aware of this career path, so it’s crucial that we attend events like these and spread the word about the need for more RV technicians. We would also like to thank Mike Thompson’s RV Super Store for providing the RV display. It captured attention at the booth and helped our team showcase the RV technician skilled trade. Events like this are critical in our efforts to recruit more RV technicians, and, ultimately, help more RVers stay on the road.”

Mike Thompson's RV Super Store significantly boosted the RV Technical Institute’s outreach by generously sponsoring an RV for their booth at the conference. This key contribution allowed the Institute to better highlight the RV technician career and attract more counselors, increasing opportunities to discuss the benefits of this in-demand trade.
