RV Women’s Alliance Charitable Foundation Launches Bill Stewart Scholarship To Advance Women In RV Industry Careers

The RV Women’s Alliance Charitable Foundation (RVWACF) today announced the launch of the Bill Stewart Scholarship, honoring a passionate RV industry leader whose respected service, mentorship, and dedication to education impacted countless lives. A true advocate for women in the RV industry, Bill Stewart championed continual learning and personal advancement and played an integral role in launching the RVWACF Women’s Tech Program. Until his passing, he served as the program’s lead instructor—always ready to answer questions, mentor students, and help them thrive in the classroom and in life.
The Bill Stewart Scholarship provides funding to help cover the cost of RV technician training instructed by the RV Women’s Alliance Charitable Foundation using the RV Technical Institute (RVTI) curriculum and testing. The scholarship is designed for women across the RV industry seeking to advance their careers, build technical skills, and contribute to a stronger, more efficient industry. In addition to supporting new technicians, the scholarship is also available to women working in other roles across the RV ecosystem—aligning service, parts, warranty, and operations to help improve Repair Event Cycle Time (RECT). This comprehensive approach reflects Bill’s commitment to bettering the lives of others and strengthening the industry he loved.
“Our family is honored to see Dad’s passion for teaching live on through this scholarship. He believed in helping others succeed in the RV industry and would be so proud to know that his legacy continues to open doors,” said his daughter, Megan Claycomb. .
Jennet Lewis of NTP/STAG and RVWACF Chair states, “The Bill Stewart Scholarship stands as a powerful tribute to Bill’s dedication to our industry and, most importantly, to the advancement of women within it. I had the privilege of working alongside Bill when NTPSTAG hosted a week-long RVTI Level 1 certification class in our Portland, OR, facility, and witnessed firsthand his passion for lifting up women in the RV sector. Bill shared a very personal story with the women in that class about the profound loss of his mother and how that experience shaped his lifelong commitment to supporting and empowering women. I am truly excited to see this scholarship come to life and carry forward his mission. His legacy now continues through this initiative, opening doors for female’s looking to learn more about RV systems and strengthening our industry in the way he always envisioned.”
