Sign-On Opportunity: Support The America the Beautiful Act Before July 4

Jun 23, 2026

The outdoor recreation community is urging Congress to pass the America the Beautiful Act before lawmakers leave Washington DC for the Fourth of July recess. RV Industry Association members are encouraged to add their names to the outdoor recreation industry's letter of support using this link

The legislation would reauthorize and strengthen the Legacy Restoration Fund (LRF), a successful program created through the Great American Outdoors Act of 2020 that helps address deferred maintenance on national parks and other federal public lands. The fund has supported critical improvements to roads, campgrounds, visitor centers, trails, and other recreation infrastructure that millions of Americans rely on each year.

Momentum for the legislation continues to build. The America the Beautiful Act recently passed the Senate Energy and Natural Resources Committee with unanimous bipartisan support, while companion legislation in the House has attracted more than 100 bipartisan cosponsors. Outdoor recreation businesses and organizations from across the country are now calling on Congress to take action on the bill before Independence Day.

The Saturday, July 4, deadline is especially meaningful as the nation begins celebrating America's 250th anniversary. Supporters believe passage of the legislation before the holiday would demonstrate a bipartisan commitment to maintaining and modernizing the public lands and waters that have long been central to the American experience and outdoor recreation economy.
