Annual Meeting, Economic Impact Numbers Shared During Monday Lunch
RVs Move America Week 2026 kicked off on Monday, June 2, with the RV Industry Association hosting its annual meeting during lunch.
Association President and CEO Craig Kirby began by sharing insights on broader trends impacting the RV industry. Despite economic headwinds, consumers continue to enjoy the outdoors—with a focus on quality time with loved ones and experiences that support mental and physical wellbeing. These goals align naturally with RVing, combining affordable travel with immediate, flexible access to nature and quality bonding time.
RVers have also become younger and more diverse, prioritizing memorable experiences such as music festivals, sporting events, cultural gatherings, and other opportunities for connection.
Importantly, the annual meeting also covered the latest economic impact numbers: the RV industry is now a $159 billion economic engine, supporting more than 643,000 jobs across nearly 33,000 businesses nationwide. The new report also breaks down the economic impact of the industry at the state and local level, showing RV industry’s critical role in driving both local and national economies forward.
Additionally, the RV Industry Association held its annual award presentation during lunch. This program honors individuals, companies, and organizations for outstanding contributions to the advancement of the RV industry with the presentation of awards honoring exceptional service and achievement. Wesco Strategic Account Manager Matt Carboneau was the recipient of the National Service Award, in recognition of his service on the RV Industry Association Board of Directors and multiple committees. Likewise, Whitney Holtz, the President of Windish RV Center, Airstream of Colorado, Airstream of Utah, and Airstream of Wyoming, was the recipient of the National Education Service Award, honoring her passion for workforce development that has helped create new pathways for students to discover meaningful careers in the RV industry.
The RV Industry Association would like to thank Sorini, Samet & Associates for sponsoring Monday’s lunch.
