President Of Action RV Discusses RV Technical Institute On RV PRO Podcast

Nov 16, 2020

Each month, RV PRO Magazine releases an episode of their new podcast, In Tow with RV PRO. The podcast features in-depth interviews with industry representatives, dealers, distributors, OEMs and others in the industry, where all things RV-related are discussed.

The latest episode featured Mark Podeyn, president of New Mexico’s Action RV. With 12,000 square feet, 9 service bays and 5-9 full time staff, Podeyn sees independent service shops like his becoming even more vital to the industry going forward.

“We’re all on one team. With all of these new RVs out in the marketplace, Independent Service centers can be the guys that the dealerships can refer a customer to and still keep that customer in their pipeline as a future sales customer. We have a great relationship with all of the RV dealers in Albuquerque. We all send customers to someone else if they are a good fit to take care of them and get them out camping again.”

Podeyn also spends time talking about his involvement with the RV Technical Institute, which he is very passionate about.

“The RV Technical Institute is, in my opinion, one of the most important initiatives that the RV industry has put forward. I learned that there are some incredibly intelligent and talented people in the RV industry that volunteer their time. We need more service technicians going through that program so that we can continue to work to provide the absolute best ownership experience for brand new RV owners.”
