Legendary Show Continues To Attract RVers For Nearly Seven Decades

Sep 5, 2019

In many respects, the California RV Show looks younger today than it did nearly seven decades ago when it began. Some would say it’s the newest streamlined designs, or the innovations and technology like solar power that modern RVs on display at the show are using, but whatever the reason, the California RV Show continues to amaze attendees of all ages.

This year, the West Coast’s largest RV show is taking up new residence at the Auto Club Speedway in Fontana from October 4-13, showcasing a wide range of RVs, from mini towable trailers to pop-ups, 35-foot long travel trailers and 5th wheelers that are sure to excite those looking for something to tow with their SUV or truck. For people who enjoy motorhomes, there are hundreds to choose from - Class B, Class C and the luxury Class A options. If attendees are not sure which motorhome fits their style, they can choose to take a test drive in one or more of 125 new motorhomes that will be at the show.

“This is the only show on the West Coast sponsored by RV manufacturers that has more than 1,000 new 2020 models on display,” said California RV Industry Association Show Director Tom Gaither. “And it’s the only time consumers can meet the manufacturers, get advice on the different RVs on display, and make a great deal with one of the 14 dealerships we will have there.”

Having doubled in size over the past eight years, the new venue will accommodate over one million square feet of displays and includes a large exhibitor tent featuring countless accessories and aftermarket products to personalize RVs, plus 50 informative seminars on a variety of RV-related subjects. In addition, there’s new amenities from a world class facility that regularly holds large consumer events, including free onsite parking and plenty of new food and beverage options for hungry show goers.

RVing remains to be a fun and cost-effective way for the entire family to enjoy the great outdoors, and sixty-seven years later, this legendary show continues to be a sought-after event for RVers to start a journey of their own.
