Outdoor Recreation Roundtable To Host EXPLORE Act One-Year Anniversary Webinar

Jan 8, 2026

One year ago, the EXPLORE Act made history as the first-ever outdoor recreation–specific legislative package passed with unanimous bipartisan support. In the year since its enactment, implementation has begun delivering meaningful progress. To mark this milestone, the Outdoor Recreation Roundtable invites you to join a national webinar convening senior federal leaders, policymakers, and outdoor recreation stakeholders for a candid, forward-looking discussion on the state of EXPLORE Act implementation.

This timely conversation will feature updates from key land and water management agencies — including the U.S. Forest Service, National Park Service, Bureau of Land Management, Fish and Wildlife Service, and National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration — alongside perspectives from policymakers and outdoor recreation leaders.

What will be covered:

  • First-year implementation progress and early successes
  • What’s working — and where gaps and barriers remain
  • Infrastructure and permitting modernization
  • Expanded access for biking, climbing, motorized recreation, veterans, and people with disabilities
  • Gateway communities, rural development, and the recreation economy
  • Data, digital tools, and cross-agency coordination
  • Priorities and actions for the next 12 months
