RV Industry Association Applauds Introduction Of America The Beautiful Act

May 1, 2025

The RV Industry Association is proud to announce its strong support for the bipartisan America the Beautiful Act, which was introduced on Thursday, May 1st, 2025, by Senators Steve Daines (R-MT) and Angus King (I-ME). Senators Kevin Cramer (R-ND), Mark Warner (D-VA), Tim Sheehy (R-MT), Jeanne Shaheen (D-NH), Lisa Murkowski (R-AK), and John Hickenlooper (D-CO) joined Daines and King in introducing the bill.

This Act would reauthorize the National Parks and Public Land Legacy Restoration Fund for an additional eight years and ensure additional funding for public land deferred maintenance.

The Legacy Restoration Fund (LRF) was established by the bipartisan Great American Outdoors Act, which was a top priority of the RV industry and signed into law in 2020. The LRF invested $9.5 billion of nontaxpayer funds into deferred maintenance, campground modernization, visitor centers, roads, and more on public lands, ensuring millions of RVers have safe and adequate access.

The America the Beautiful Act would continue and expand upon the objectives set forth by the Great American Outdoors Act, which will expire in 2025.

Among other initiatives, the America the Beautiful Act would increase funding from $1.9 billion to $2 billion per year; allow next year’s projects to move forward under a Continuing Resolution; and bolster the ability for public donations to the funds.

The National Park Service reported a record breaking 331 million recreation visits in 2024, an increase of nearly 2% from the prior year. If enacted, the America the Beautiful Act would provide critical support for public land agencies when they need it most.

“The RV Industry Association applauds the introduction of the America the Beautiful Act and thanks Senators Daines, King, Warner, and Cramer for championing this legislation,” says RV Industry Association President and CEO Craig Kirby. “This extended investment in our public lands is important, as it would allow RVers and other outdoor recreation enthusiasts to continue to access safe, maintained, and enhanced outdoor spaces. We urge Congress to swiftly pass this legislation so that the great outdoors can be cherished for generations to come.”
