RV Technical Institute Kicks Off Recruitment At Florida RV SuperShow

Jan 18, 2022

The RV Technical Institute is kicking off its  year of recruitment this week at the 2022 Florida RV SuperShow. The event, which takes place in Tampa, FL, is the RV industry’s largest consumer show, offering educational seminars, daily entertainment, and the most up-to-date innovative RV products and accessories.

“The SuperShow presents an excellent opportunity for the RV Technical Institute to get in front of industry members and consumers alike,” said RV Technical institute Direct of Recruitment Tracy Angelmeyer. “With the ‘great resignation,’ we know there are a lot of people looking for new career opportunities and for those who are also interested in RVing, a career switch into the booming RV technician field is an ideal fit.”

With the consumer rush to RV dealer lots across the country showing no signs of slowing down, the RV Technical Institute is working to recruit and train over 1,000 new RV technicians from outside the industry this year. That means more expertly trained technicians diagnosing and repairing RVs, getting RVers back out on the road faster than ever and vastly improving the RV consumer experience.

“RVs have surged in popularity, meaning the need for technicians has also increased,” said RV Technical Institute Executive Director Curt Hemmeler. “The Tampa show is the ideal location for us to be kicking off our year of recruitment. This event will give our team a chance to connect with people who are interested in the RV technician field and allow us to bring more techs into the industry.”

Along with its presence at the SuperShow, the RV Technical Institute is doubling down on recruitment efforts through a robust consumer marketing campaign targeting job seekers into the growing and desirable RV technician field. RVTI is also engaging in partnerships with organizations outside the industry including high schools, trade schools, and government training programs. As millions of Americans reevaluate their careers during the pandemic and quit their jobs, the RV industry can offer quality pay and on-the-job training without the burden of considerable debt that comes with a typical 4 or even 2-year college degree.
