‘Toy Story 4’ Summer Road Trip Comes To RV Capital Of The World

Jun 25, 2019

Disney and Pixar's highly anticipated family blockbuster Toy Story 4 hit theaters on Friday, June 21 and its Toy Story 4 Summer Road Trip made a stop at the RV capital of the world in Elkhart, Ind., a day before the premiere to celebrate the big day!

The tour, which mirrors the RV road trip that Bonnie and her family go on in the movie, consists of 21 cities around the country visiting major metropolitan areas including Los Angeles, Washington, D.C. Miami and Detroit, and features a specially wrapped Outlaw 29S motorhome provided by Thor Motor Coach. As the tour travels from city to city, it conveys a similar message portrayed in the movie that RV road trips are as much about strengthening bonds with friends and families as it is about travel.

The stop in Elkhart at the RV/MH Hall of Fame and Museum gathered many from the community where they participated in carnival games, prizes and countless photo opportunities in front of the vibrant wrapped RV. Disney also had two film ambassadors on site to share details about the fan-favorite characters – Woody, Buzz and Bo Peep, as well as some of the new characters including Forky, Bunny, Ducky and Duke Caboom with attendees.

“It was a busy day for sure,” said Darryl Searer, president of RV/MH Hall of Fame and Museum. “We expected maybe 150 people and had well over 1,000.”

Go RVing teamed up with Disney and Pixar on an integrated marketing campaign to celebrate the movie and inspire RV travel that takes family and friends on unforgettable adventures. The movie’s story conveys the message that RV road trips are as much about strengthening bonds with friends and families as it is about travel.

You won’t need to go to infinity and beyond to take part in this exciting tour as they make their way west to Denver (June 26), Salt Lake City (June 28) and San Francisco (TBD - June 30).
