Martin Perlot submits the following proposal: In the Acknowledgment DGN (Section 3.2.4.3), Byte 4: Address Acknowledged. uint8 Source Address being acknowledged. Byte 2, Bits 4-7, Reserved for Compatibility with SAE J1939 Byte 3, Reserved for Compatibility with SAE J1939 Justification: SAE has recently modified their version of the same packet. They added the Address Acknowledge byte in the position indicated, and added a three-byte field using bytes 1-3 called "Extended Identifier". The latter is not relevant to RV-C and should not interfere with the RV-C use of these bytes for instance and bank. Implementing these changes shall make it easier for designers to make products compatible with both networks.
