RV Technical Institute Highlights Tech Career Path At Annual CTE Conference

Sep 18, 2025

Last week, the RV Technical Institute attended the Association for Career and Technical Education’s Region 2 Annual Conference, which took place from Wednesday, September 10, through Friday, September 12, in Fayetteville, GA.

The Association for Career and Technical Education is the largest national education association dedicated to the advancement of education that prepares youth and adults for career and technical education (CTE). The core purpose is to provide leadership in developing an educated, prepared, adaptable, and competitive workforce.

The RV Technical Institute attended the Region 2 conference to inform more school administrators about the RV technician career path. During the event, the Institute also encouraged more high schools (that already have career and technical education programs in place) to incorporate its gold-standard technician training program into their curriculum.  (Previously, with this same goal in mind, the Institute also attended the Region 3Region 4, and Region 5 Conferences earlier this year.)

“This event is a great opportunity for the RV Technical Institute to connect with school administrator attendees who are interested in incorporating our program into their high schools,” says Kate Richardson, the RV Technical Institute’s Account Specialist. “Students who enroll in the course through their high schools could even become Level 1 certified by graduation.  This is a great option for students who plan on a career in the skilled trades.”

“Furthermore, from an RV industry standpoint, events like these remain crucial because spreading the word about the need for RV technicians is a key component of our mission to increase the number of Institute-certified technicians,” adds Kate. “Along with providing a career option to students who are focused on the skilled trades, this initiative also helps more RVers get back on the road to their destinations faster.”

The Association for Career and Technical Education is made up of five separate regions that cover the United States. This most recent conference, which focused on the second region, covered professional development and networking opportunities for CTE professionals in Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee, Virginia, the Bahamas, Puerto Rico, and the Virgin Islands.
