Navarro College Announces Upcoming RV Tech Classes

Jan 6, 2026

As the RV industry continues to prioritize elevating the customer experience, the need for "shop-ready" technicians has never been more critical. To address this need, the RV Technical Institute has partnered with Navarro College, which just announced the Spring 2026 schedule for its intensive, two-week workforce development program designed to deliver well-rounded, Level 1 certified professionals to the service bay.

While technical proficiency is the backbone of the service department, industry leaders have long noted that technical skills must be paired with professionalism and safety to truly impact dealership efficiency. Navarro College’s curriculum addresses this dual need by combining the gold standard of RV Technical Institute Level 1 Certification with a rigorous "Shop Readiness" focused curriculum.

This program goes beyond standard diagnostics. By requiring a two-week commitment, Navarro College ensures that graduates are not only certified to fix RVs but are also prepared to navigate the complexities of a modern service center.

Week One is dedicated to the RVTI Level 1 curriculum, providing the foundational knowledge on propane, electrical, plumbing, and appliances that dealers rely on.

Week Two differentiates this program by focusing on the "soft skills" that drive service department profitability and safety, including:

  • Risk Management: Full OSHA 10 Certification.
  • Service Efficiency: Training on reading and writing professional repair orders.
  • Customer Retention: specialized modules on customer service and workplace communication.
  • Digital Literacy: Basic computer skills required for modern shop management software.

For a program cost of $1,200, people interested in an RV technician career can secure training that covers both technical certification and essential employee onboarding topics.

Registration is currently open for the following two-week blocks:

  • Session 1: Jan 20 – Feb 2
  • Session 2: Feb 16 – Feb 27
  • Session 3: Mar 23 – Apr 6
  • Session 4: Apr 20 – May 1
