Instructional Design and Learning Systems Manager, RVTI
Job Duties:
This position supports the development and delivery of digital learning programs that advance workforce training initiatives within the RV Technical Institute (RVTI). The Instructional Design & Learning Systems Manager plays a key role in designing engaging eLearning content, supporting learning management system operations, and collaborating with subject matter experts to create effective training experiences that support RVTI’s vision of being the proactive leader in promoting the health, growth, and expansion of the RV industry.
Key Responsibilities
- Designs and develops eLearning courses and digital training materials using instructional design best practices.
- Collaborates with subject matter experts to gather technical content and convert it into engaging and structured learning modules.
- Develops digital learning materials based on curriculum direction established by the Director of Curriculum and Certification.
- Builds, uploads, and maintains courses, assessments, and learning materials within the Learning Management System (LMS).
- Organizes course catalogs and maintains accurate learner records within the LMS.
- Monitors learner participation, course progress, and training completion metrics.
- Generates reports related to learner activity, course completion, and program performance.
- Supports updates and revisions to training materials to ensure content accuracy and consistency across delivery methods.
- Maintains documentation and version control for course materials and curriculum resources.
- Assists with troubleshooting LMS access issues and provides support to internal users and partners.
- Contributes to the continuous improvement of learning programs based on feedback, analytics, and program evaluations.
- Assists with special projects and performs other related duties as assigned to support organizational objectives.
Required Skills & Experience
This position requires a bachelor’s degree in Instructional Design, Education, Learning Technologies, Communications, a related field, or a demonstrated track record of successful work in instructional design, digital learning development, LMS administration, or a related training and development role. Typically requires 5–7 years of relevant professional experience.
A successful candidate is a self-starter with strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously. Candidate must possess strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to translate technical subject matter into clear, engaging learning experiences. Attention to detail, documentation accuracy, and collaboration skills are essential.
This position requires proficiency with Microsoft 365 applications and experience using eLearning authoring tools such as Articulate Storyline 360, Rise, or similar platforms. Familiarity with Learning Management Systems (LMS) administration, course management, and learner reporting are strongly preferred. Candidate must be a team player while maintaining a proactive, positive, and service-oriented attitude.
Travel is minimal and may include occasional visits to RVIA/RVTI offices or meetings with internal teams, generally limited to one to two trips annually.
