ASA Electronics Endorses RV Technical Institute’s Level 3 Curriculum

Nov 30, 2023

ASA Electronics, an Elkhart-based electronics company, is a proud provider of the RV Technical Institute’s Level 3 curriculum. Recently, ASA Electronics’ staff sat down with the RV Technical Institute to share their experience teaching the Level 3 curriculum to interested service technicians, with an emphasis on control systems. Hear more from ASA Electronics’ team below!

How do ASA Electronics’ Level 3 Courses benefit RV technicians?

In an industry where technology is anticipated to be difficult and unintuitive, instruction and support are critical blocks for building confidence and an understanding of our products. With technicians having this available to them, they have an opportunity to see our control systems the same way we see them— one section at a time. Our goal is that this perspective can translated across the industry to those who are involved with control systems and that they are proud to know how it works.

What do your students have to say about the Level 3 courses you offer?

The attendees seem to be receptive and engaged with the information being provided. There is a broad range of skillsets among the students. We are able to explain our product and how it functions, expanding students’ knowledge and diagnostic abilities. Working directly with them and reiterating the tested information will help them diagnose, saving them time and saving the customer money.

How has offering Level 3 been impactful for your organization?

Technicians want to know more and where we can help spread that, we will ultimately help our brand stay strong. With an understanding of how to troubleshoot our systems in the field, problems will be solved before anyone has to contact us. Technicians will share this information amongst each other and those who are not aware may be inspired to be more informed and schedule a training.

The RV Technical Institute regularly adds new, approved Level 3 courses to its curriculum. Interested suppliers can become an accredited training provider by downloading and submitting an application for review and approval by the Curriculum Committee.

Likewise, interested RV technicians can learn more about Level 3 and how to take an approved course.
