Go RVing’s Website Redesign Wins Acquia Engage And OMMA Awards

A redesign of Go RVing’s website picked up two awards this month: the 2021 Online Media, Marketing and Advertising (OMMA) award in the category of Travel & Tourism and the Best Campaign at Acquia Engage!

Go RVing debuted the brand new website in October 2020. With a new creative agency and a campaign launching, GoRVing.com matched the new energy in the brand with a complete overhaul, featuring a visually engaging platform to reflect consumers’ path-to-purchase mindset. The website now includes a look inside RVs, product searches, RV comparisons, content journeys, consumer testimonials, and an interactive “find my RV” quiz.

Acquia Engage Award Winner for Best Campaign

The Acquia Engage awards honor organizations that went above and beyond to meet evolving customer, employee, and citizen expectations; defy difficult circumstances; and adapt to change. “Effective digital customer experiences bring together a vision of what’s possible, effective use of new and existing technology and infrastructure, and cross-functional team collaboration,” said Lynne Capozzi, Chief Marketing Officer at Acquia. “This year’s winners created an impact at a time when developers, IT teams, and marketers have been challenged by rapidly shifting customer expectations. We’re inspired by each one of them and honored to recognize their accomplishments.” Third-party judges evaluated finalists based on functionality, efficiency, scale, and performance.

The OMMA award is a result of the redesigned site’s approach for broader appeal to capture a more specific consumer group that align with Go RVing’s high value audiences. From renting an RV to destination inspiration, cooking on the road to expert advice, the site was an all-inclusive experience that highlighted the RV lifestyle. The goal was to help more travelers embrace RVing. Since launch, there was a 560% increase in site sessions, visitors engaged with the “compare RVs” tool, and there has been a 10x uptick in dealer searches. A new generation is ready to hit the open road! The judges commented that one of the lead stories, “Nomad on Wheels,” underscored the sense of wonder, which was intimate and immediate."
