Take Action Today to Increase RVing Buzz
Nov 6, 2025
🌎 The big picture: Travel is trending in the press, and the RV industry can capitalize on that while taking up more space by pitching positive stories to the media.
- Yes, and: RVing is a smart, flexible, and stress-free way to travel and offers control when there is uncertainty. According to the RV Industry Association’s latest Travel Intentions survey, 28 million Americans plan to go RVing this winter—a 33% increase from last winter.
🔧 Under the hood: Our PR team has provided suggestions on how to position RVing as the premier travel choice this holiday and winter season so that media include RVing in their travel-related conversations:
- Leverage your ambassadors and influencer teams: Pitch their assets, quotes, and real-life examples on why they prefer RV travel over other modes.
- Offer up relevant story “hooks” and resources: For example, RVing in the winter months can be the adventure you didn’t know you needed and the industry’s voice for consumer education and inspiration (Go RVing) has resources to ensure a smooth winter RV road trip: Winter RV Camping Packing List; RVing in the Winter - Staying Comfortably and Being Prepared Tips; and tons of resources on campgrounds open during the winter across the country.
- Tie in timely facts: 28 million Americans plan to RV this winter with gas prices below the national average for this time of year (GasBuddy report).
- Identify relevant media: Pitch your local TV and radio stations, newspapers, and bloggers. Identify a national affiliate program (Good Day, Good Morning, etc.) and national travel media.
