How You Can Amplify The Impact Of RVs Move America Week

Jun 6, 2019

This week over 150 members of the RV industry took part in 176 meetings with federal policymakers on issues critical to the growth of the industry.

If you were not able to join your fellow members of the RV industry in DC this week, you can still make your voice heard on these important issues!

Using the RV Action Center, you can ask your Members of Congress to support the $114 billion RV Industry on the issues below:

Urge your Member of Congress to Support the Travel Trailer and Camper Tax Parity Act
Last minute changes to the 2017 tax reform bill, known as the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act (TCJA), led to a definition change in one section, inadvertently limiting the deductibility of RV trailer dealers’ floor plan costs. Passed in December 2017, TCJA made changes to income tax rates for most individual tax brackets and reduced the income tax rate on corporations. However, the definition change in the interest section led to an unintended consequence that is currently disadvantaging one segment of the RV industry. Take action, here.

Ask your Member of Congress to Support Campground Modernization and Expansion with S. 500 and H.R. 1225
Many federal campgrounds were constructed more than 60 years ago and the outdated campground infrastructure, crumbling roads and bridges, deferred maintenance needs and limited camping availability have reduced RV camping opportunities on federal lands. Take action, here.

Urge Your Member of Congress to Support Outdoor Recreation Infrastructure
The currently discussed infrastructure package represents an extraordinary bipartisan opportunity to not only rebuild our crumbling roads and bridges, but also to improve the infrastructure on public lands and waters. Take action, here.

Ask Your Members of Congress to Join the RV Caucus
The House and Senate RV Caucus Members are the champions for the RV industry and RV lifestyle on Capitol Hill by advocating on behalf of the industry on issues such as campground modernization, tax and trade issues. Take action, here.
