Noah Cronan: A Servant Leader

Jul 20, 2023

Noah CronanNoah Cronan, Camco Manufacturing’s Marketing Manager, has been striving to be a leader since he was in high school.

“Leadership has been a passion of mine since I was a teenager. I served on the leadership team as Vice President of my high school’s Distributive Education Clubs of America chapter and Future Business Leaders of America chapter,” Noah explained.

Noah graduated early from high school at 16, then went on to work as a manager at Autobell car wash to pay for college. “Throughout the summers in college I was a camp counselor for a business and leadership camp called Free Enterprise Leadership Challenge, a series of 5-day camps hosted by universities across America for high schoolers to learn about leadership and free enterprise. I worked as a marketer there as well, managing their social media platforms and creating content. Now, being blessed with a job here at Camco, I’ve been able to be a manager and a leader and that’s where I’d like to go from here.”

Camco is a manufacturer who provides RV, marine, camping, hardware, cleaning, and land management products. It has over 1,100 employees and five facilities in the United States, where it manufactures, assembles, and distributes more than 4,200 products. Over 500 of those have been launched since 2020 alone.

Noah CronanNoah first joined Camco in 2019 as their Marketing Coordinator after graduating from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro. He later became their Marketing Project Manager and eventually Marketing Manager. “I love the people that are at Camco. I have a terrific team and we’ve got an excellent senior leadership lineup. I’m thankful for my experience at Camco so far.”

Noah’s responsibilities at Camco include designing marketing strategy, directing new product launches, and leading his team to grow content creation, social media pages, and the Camco website. “We tackle every obstacle that comes our way. I know that I don’t have all the answers but I’m going to continue to ask questions and learn. We communicate, trust, hold each other accountable, and have fun in the process. I’m proud of what our marketing team has accomplished.”

Noah’s duties at Camco inspired him to return to college for another degree. “At Camco I’ve had the opportunity to interact with almost every business function,” he explained. “I was blessed with a level of freedom that helped me learn about business management, supply chain, sales, and even leadership. That motivated me to go back to school at Liberty University, where I graduated with my Master of Business Administration last December.”

When considering the next steps in his career, Noah emphasizes the idea of leading, loving, and serving. “I want to lead people at Camco, I want to love everybody, and I want to be a servant. Servant leadership is a big part of my life and I’ve found that when I can lead, love, and serve, I’m fulfilled and it’s tremendously rewarding to see others obtain their goals. That’s what’s next for me. I think that’s what’s always going to be what’s next for me. I believe that’s what leadership comes down to.”

Noah CronanIn addition to his duties at Camco, Noah is involved with the RV Industry Association, attending RVs Move America Week for the first time last year and participating in committees. “I got in touch with so many people. I was interested in the public relations side and now I serve on the Public Relations Committee for the Association.” He also works with Go RVing to provide products for the company’s experiential events as a way to generate leads for dealers. “Anytime we can help our dealers out is fantastic.”

In addition, Noah attended the Leadership Conference in Phoenix, AZ during March and plans on going to RVs Move America Week again next year. “Hopefully with the Sustainability Committee being established, there’ll be more opportunities for the Camco to get involved,” he says.

“The RV Industry Association is a truly unique organization,” he adds. “What I love about this industry is the team mentality. If there’s any competition between companies, it’s healthy. We all have the same mindset. We’re all on the same team."
