If so, the RV Industry Association invites you to apply for the position of Executive Assistant for the Government Affairs and Legal departments. 

About the Role:

The Executive Assistant provides critical administrative and project support to the Government Affairs, International, and Legal departments. This position ensures the efficient functioning of department operations by managing calendars, coordinating meetings, tracking budgets and compliance reports, and supporting the RV Industry Association Board of Directors and key committees. The role also acts as a filter for incoming inquiries, assists with contract processing, and works cross-functionally with senior leaders across the Association.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide administrative support to the Government Affairs, International, and Legal departments
  • Act as backup to the Executive Assistant to the President
  • Maintain department schedules and manage the Vice President, Government Affairs' calendar
  • Assist with RV Industry Association Board of Directors and Lawyer’s Committee meeting prep and committee support
  • Manage annual Board election processes in partnership with the Legal team
  • Track and submit required state lobbying disclosures and continuing education reports
  • File lobbying contracts, reconcile logs, and maintain the GA motions database and committee rosters
  • Coordinate travel arrangements and process expense reports for department staff
  • Support contract routing, approval, and filing processes across GA and Legal departments
  • Maintain state registrations and coordinate the filing of annual reports through a third-party platform that manages the Association’s registered agents, as required by each state
  • Maintain data privacy records for Government Affairs

Qualifications

  • Education:
    • Associate degree required; understanding of political processes is helpful
  • Experience & Skills:
    • Experience supporting executive-level staff or teams preferred
    • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with tools like Salesforce, Zoom, Nexonia, and Intacct
    • Excellent organizational and time management skills
    • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills
    • Attention to detail, especially when taking minutes and preparing reports
    • Experience collaborating cross-functionally and supporting multiple stakeholders

Additional Information

This is a hybrid position with minimal travel requirements. As an exempt role, occasional extended hours may be needed during busy periods.
